Know Your Purpose - What’s your why?
As a young adult, I always wanted to own my own business and have the freedom to earn money on my terms. But I was forgetting an important point. What was I doing this for? Why did I want more freedom? This brought me to an a simple yet profound discovery while playing board games with my family.
Monopoly, Uno and Bingo are just some of games we enjoy playing. As I sat down to play a new version of monopoly and began to learn the rules, I was reminded of how important it is to know the purpose of the game. As I tried to learn the steps of the game, as simple as it was supposed to be, something wasn’t connecting. I felt stupid. Something was still out of place. I was trying to play the game and follow the rules, but I didn’t understand why we were playing the way we were. It didn’t make sense.
